Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: June 1, 2025
Acceptance of Terms:
By accessing our website or using any Compassion Collective service, including retreats, memberships, events, and online content, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
Disclaimer:
Although Esther Boykin is a licensed psychotherapist, the services, workshops, retreats, events, and content offered by Compassion Collective are not intended to be therapy, medical treatment, or mental health advice, and are not covered by HIPAA. Participation in any Compassion Collective offering does not create a therapist-client relationship. For clinical concerns or professional mental health support, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.
Cancellations & Credit Policy:
No refunds are issued for any Compassion Collective events. With adequate advance notice, your payment may be applied as credit toward a future date of the same event type.
Required Notice Period:
Virtual Gatherings: 24 hours advance notice required
Salons & Soft Life Suppers: 7 days advance notice required
Retreats: 14 days advance notice required
How Credits Work: Credits must be applied to the same event type (e.g., Salon credit applies to future Salons; retreat credit applies to future retreats). Credits are valid for one year from the original event date and are non-transferable.
To request credit, please contact us at [email] with your registration details and your preferred future date (if known). Credit requests received after the notice deadline will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but are not guaranteed.
Event Cancellations: If Compassion Collective cancels an event, you will receive full credit applicable to any future offering or a full refund to your original payment method at your discretion.
Participant Responsibility:
By participating in Compassion Collective experiences, you agree to assume full responsibility for your emotional, mental, and physical well-being during and after participation. Participation in group sessions or activities does not replace professional medical or mental health treatment.
Health and Safety:
We prioritize your safety. Please inform us in advance of any medical, dietary, or wellness-related needs. Compassion Collective is not liable for any injury, health issues, or emotional distress arising from participation.
Code of Conduct:
We foster inclusive, respectful spaces. Discrimination, harassment, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal without refund.
Intellectual Property:
All content provided by Compassion Collective, including written materials, audio, video, and digital resources, remains our intellectual property. Personal use is permitted; commercial use is prohibited.
Liability:
Compassion Collective and its organizers are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to property sustained during retreats, events, or from participation in our offerings. You agree to release Compassion Collective from any claims or liability arising from your participation.
Amendments:
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued participation following changes indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law:
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Compassion Collective is registered.
