MEET ESTHER B.

I’m Esther Boykin, a licensed psychotherapist, former CEO, meditation teacher, and founder of Esther B., a consulting agency focused on workplace wellness and leadership transformation.

After two decades working as a therapist for high-performing professionals, from founders and clinicians to celebrities and C-suite execs, I saw how deeply burnout, isolation, and exhaustion were impacting Black leaders, especially Black women, in particular. So I built a company that centers their wellness as a strategic imperative, not an afterthought.

Personally and professionally, I know and care for so many high-achieving Black women who are used to carrying it all… and making it look effortless. They are

Brilliant, Generous, Ambitious,

And bone-deep tired.

I created the Compassion Collective for these women and for the women who kept asking me, “Where do we go to be held the way we hold everyone else?

Therapy helped. Coaching helped. But it wasn’t enough. What they really needed was a space that could hold their whole selves- their success and their softness.

A space that didn’t require them to translate their pain or perform strength to belong. A space that understands the emotional, cultural, and spiritual toll of being constantly resilient.

So I built one.

We started in the summer of 2023 with the first retreat, and now the Compassion Collective has evolved as an anchor to my broader mission to transform how we approach wellness for Black professionals and leaders.

For me, this is not just a brand — it’s a cultural intervention.

Because women like you need more than just a pause.
You need a practice.
A way of being.
And a place to create that where you can feel safe, seen, and supported.

I’m here to walk with you on this journey, not just for a moment, but for the long haul.

MY VISION

  • Restore

You need more than rest, you need restoration. I believe in creating space for women to replenish what the world depletes so you can feel whole again.

  • Reclaim

Self-compassion helps us to reclaim our autonomy and honor our experiences. I teach women practices that ensure they are the center of their lives again.

  • Reimagine

Devotion over discipline is a mantra I live by. Leading with commitment to self, instead of obligation to others, is key to reimagining success, joy, and resilience.
